iDeasInc Studios is a leading Kenyan film production company established in 2000. For over two decades, we have built a strong reputation in international film facilitation and in capturing Africa’s essence through powerful visual storytelling. Beyond production, we are deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of creatives through structured training, mentorship, and industry exposure.
As part of this commitment, iDeasInc Studios is implementing the Sanara Program, an initiative sponsored by the Mastercard Foundation. The name Sanara is inspired by the Swahili words sanaa (arts) and biashara (business), reflecting the program’s dual focus on creative excellence and economic empowerment. Sanara is designed to create dignified and gainful opportunities for young people across Kenya, with a strong emphasis on empowering women. The program targets underprivileged youth aged 18–35, equipping them with practical, industry-relevant skills that enable them to access employment, freelance opportunities, or entrepreneurship within the creative economy.
Sanara is built on an inclusive training model that prioritizes women, while intentionally creating opportunities for refugees and persons with disabilities (PwDs). By working at the grassroots level, the program ensures access for young people who would otherwise face barriers to entering the creative industry.
The program runs for 9–12 months, combining both theory and practice This blended approach ensures that participants graduate with both technical competence and real-world experience.
